Getting to Know: Activity Director Kay Hightower

July 22, 2016

kay hightowerKay Hightower has been a part of the Generations at Regency staff since 2012. Originally an activity aide Kay learned what it took to run a successful activity department and found himself as director after a year and a half on the team. He now supervises twelve aides. Kay loves that the residents are still excited after an event, “I walk down the halls and I hear all of the wonderful things they say after the activities.” Though he loves all of the activities there are some that are special to him, “they get super excited when its bingo night, they want the prizes. I also love poetry corner because I get to act out the poems to the residents.” When it comes to the residents, his position brings him joy because, “they have unique identities and a rich history. I love listening to them reminisce. It’s a joyful experience.”

We are happy that Kay leads our wonderful and dedicated aides and loves his role here at Generations at Regency.
