Restorative care<\/strong> is part of an ongoing nursing model, and often follows rehabilitation<\/a>. Licensed and paraprofessional staff members provide restorative care to preserve a person’s optimum level of functioning and independence.<\/p>\n A patient that needs to restore, stabilize, or improve their level of independence so that they can achieve their highest practicable level of functioning. This may occur for a patient currently in rehabilitation, or once discharged from the rehabilitation therapy program.
